Joseph R. Lynch
Joseph R. LynchMD

Dr. Lynch is a graduate of Harvard University and native to the Pacific Northwest. He completed medical school at Oregon Health Sciences University graduating first in his class in 2002.  He then completed residency training in orthopedic surgery as well as fellowship training in shoulder & elbow surgery at the University of Washington.  In addition to being a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic shoulder and elbow specialist, Dr. Lynch also maintains a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.  As a former Associate Professor of Surgery and Director of the Division of Sports Medicine & Shoulder Surgery for the United States Navy, he brings a wealth of expertise, experience, and knowledge to Idaho and the Treasure Valley area.

Mike was raised in Bonanza, Oregon.  He received his Bachelor’s degree from Oregon Institute of Technology, where he was part of the men’s basketball team.  He graduated from Idaho State University in 2012 obtaining his Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies.  Mike is board certified and has spent his career in orthopedic surgery.  In his free time he enjoys sports, training for triathlons, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Caitlyn Grote
Caitlyn GroteRN, BSN

Caitlyn grew up in beautiful Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. She attended the University of Idaho where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition. Go Vandals! Caitlyn continued her education to earn her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from Lewis-Clark State College. She has enjoyed working as a medical surgical nurse for several years and is excited to join The Shoulder Clinic of Idaho. Caitlyn is passionate about her patients and making sure each one has a top notch experience when it comes to surgical and nonsurgical care. You can catch Caitlyn fishing, hiking, and enjoying the great outdoors with her family.
