Dr. Chopp was raised in Grand Rapids Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1984. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in 1985 and went on to complete his fellowship at Hughston Sports Medicine Foundation in 2000, with emphasis on shoulder surgery. He practiced shoulder surgery for seven years in South Dakota before joining The Shoulder Clinic of Idaho in 2007.
Kiira was raised in Petoskey, Michigan. She went to Colorado College and received her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology while participating on the women’s lacrosse team. She earned her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Idaho State University in 2019. She is board certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Kiira enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her family and her golden retriever, Sadie.
Sheila has been Dr. Chopp’s Medical Assistant for over 6 years. She was raised in Truckee California in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. She received her MA certificate in Sacramento, CA in 1994. She has two beautiful daughters and three amazing grandchildren. Sheila has three decades of experience from Cardiology to Orthopedics. Her greatest attribute is developing strong relationships in everything she does both professionally and personally. When she is not at work, Sheila likes to travel, ride motorcycles, go to the lake, camp, and spend time with her family.
