Meet the Team
Dr. Lynch is a graduate of Harvard University and native to the Pacific Northwest. He completed medical school at Oregon Health Sciences University graduating first in his class in 2002. He then completed residency training in orthopedic surgery as well as fellowship training in shoulder & elbow surgery at the University of Washington. In addition to being a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic shoulder and elbow specialist, Dr. Lynch also maintains a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. As a former Associate Professor of Surgery and Director of the Division of Sports Medicine & Shoulder Surgery for the United States Navy, he brings a wealth of expertise, experience, and knowledge to Idaho and the Treasure Valley area.
Mike was raised in Bonanza, Oregon. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Oregon Institute of Technology, where he was part of the men’s basketball team. He graduated from Idaho State University in 2012 obtaining his Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies. Mike is board certified and has spent his career in orthopedic surgery. In his free time he enjoys sports, training for triathlons, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Angie Villa has worked for the shoulder clinic for 2 ½ years. Previously, she worked in podiatry for 10 years. In her spare time she enjoys dragging her family along to various activities and events that she has found on @hellomeridian or @boise_bucketlist.
Angie is a music lover and enjoys shopping for records, old music, and new music.
The thing Angie loves the most about working at The Shoulder Clinic is the atmosphere! She loves her co-workers and the way they are all laughing and joking together. She particularly loves the patients we serve and that they show their appreciation and gratitude.
Melody Rooney grew up in Idaho Falls and has been with The Shoulder Clinic for 3 months now!
In her spare time, Melody loves being outdoors. Her favorite things are camping, hunting, 3D archery shoots, riding the sand dunes and being with her family.
A fun fact about Melody is that she used to build and race RC (remote control) cars.
The thing Melody loves the most about working at The Shoulder Clinic is the supportive staff and kind patients. She loves how understanding and appreciative the patients are!
