At The Shoulder Clinic of Idaho, the Physician Assistants (PAs) work closely with the orthopedic doctors to provide the highest level of care for patients.

Physician Assistants are highly trained healthcare providers who work under the supervision of the orthopedic doctors at The Shoulder Clinic of Idaho. They help take medical histories, conduct exams, diagnose and treat bone, joint and muscle injuries and conditions, order and interpret medical imaging, prescribe medications, and assist surgeons during surgery.

Kathryn “KC” Colson

KC is a native Boisean.  KC attended Boise State University and graduated as a registered nurse in 1982.  She continued on to a Bachelor’s of Health Science degree and graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine Physician Assistant program in 1990.  As a Physician Assistant, KC has experience ranging from surgery to family medicine, as well as being a board certified in medicine and surgery.  She is married to Boise native and is an avid polo enthusiast.

Mike was raised in Bonanza, Oregon.  He received his Bachelor’s degree from Oregon Institute of Technology, where he was part of the men’s basketball team.  He graduated from Idaho State University in 2012 obtaining his Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies.  Mike is board certified and has spent his career in orthopedic surgery.  In his free time he enjoys sports, training for triathlons, traveling, and spending time with his family.
